About this site
Who builds these calculators, why they exist, and what sets them apart from lead-generation forms.
Who is behind it
This site is run by a single individual. Name and address are in the legal notice — not hidden on a subpage, but where the law requires them. There is no agency, no publisher and no solar installation company behind this site.
Why this site exists
Most free solar calculators are sales tools: they collect contact details and hand back a rough estimate whose assumptions nobody sees. This site is the opposite — every assumption is visible, editable and shown with a range, every formula is stated openly on the page, and no result is a sales argument.
How the work is done
Currently 62 of 62 planned calculators are published, 14 of them safety-critical. Every calculator is tested against published reference cases, and every data source carries a retrieval date and an expiry date. The methodology page explains how this works in detail.
Independence
This site sells nothing, brokers no offers and takes no money for recommendations. How it is funded is disclosed in full on the funding page.
